Growing Together
“18 And Jesus came and said to them, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.'”
Harvest puts a big emphasis on reaching down to the next generation, but we have plenty of opportunities for adults to grow in their faith. Read below for more information.

How Do You View Discipleship?
At Harvest, we have three major expressions of disciple-making
- We Gather for Worship: Our worship service is at 11am every Sunday. This is an easy entry point into life at Harvest—and is the space where most of the church will be in one place. This service is where our leaders are together, we remind ourselves of God’s Word and its implications, and take the communion together.
- We Grow with Others: At Harvest we want you to have a relational outlet that challenges you toward greater dependence on the Lord and intentional care for others. For us, that would be with regular participation in a life group or serve team. For us, “regular” means at least twice a month. Our life group ministry has an aim of putting people around others who are invested in their growth in the Lord. Our serve teams help facilitate the ministry at Harvest throughout the week. These spaces, albeit different, give you a relational connection that can help challenge you toward greater growth in Christ.
- We Go and Make Disciples: As you grow, we hope you take the next step of finding an outlet (in the church, in your community, etc.) to lead out in purposeful and regular disciple- making. Everyone is a disciple-maker, so this step is about finding where and how. This might be in a Harvest-based ministry (life group leader, ministry leadership team, regular equipping teacher, other leader opportunity, etc.) or something you pursue out in the community (starting a study in your neighborhood, pursuing a unique ministry calling, being part of a church plant, etc.). Either way, we want to support you in this, offer appropriate training, and pray for you.
How Do I Join a Life Group?
If you are interested in a Life Group, you can check out the group finder here. Look for the night, frequency, or life stage to help determine which group might be a good fit. Reach out to a leader and learn a little more.
Our life groups usually follow the sermon with discussion questions that are distributed to leaders. We do this so that the group can more deliberately think about how to apply the message from Sunday.
How Do I Join a Serve Team?
Serve teams are a great way to get involved with others. Each serve team has different expectations based upon the ministry area involved. The best thing to do is to reach out to us at the info above or fill out our ministry interest form. From there, someone from leadership will be able to reach out to you and learn more about how we can help you get involved in service to others.
Do You Have Men's and Women's Opportunities?
Absolutely! Men’s and Women’s ministry at Harvest support discipleship by creating unique training and fellowship opportunities. Throughout the year, you might find a men’s breakfast, a retreat, a book study, a seminar, and more. Easiest way to keep up with those opportunities is to check out the calendar. Also, downloading the Church Center app is a great way to stay connected to what’s going on. We regulalry promote opportunites there.
What's at the Equipping Hour?
Sundays at 9:30 throughout the year is our “equipping hour.” We use this as an opportunity to create punctuated opportunities for teaching and training. In general, we alternate (often each month) between one larger class for the adult body and broken out classes that are thematically-linnked. We’ll also use that time for membership meetings, church updates, or prayer.
What Else?
We talk a lot about ministry opportunities, training, and church life on the Harvest Podcast. Search the “The Harvest Pod” on Spotify or Apple. We publish episodes twice a week (roughly 20min each) as an easy way to stay connected to what’s going on at Harvest.
